Connecting Shopify orders to third-party warehouses
Writing integrations that turn Shopify orders into whatever each warehouse's back office expects, on a serverless platform that serves many merchants and warehouses.

The problem
Taking an order online is the easy part. Getting it to a warehouse in a form that warehouse's system understands is where things go wrong, and every third-party logistics (3PL) provider has its own back office and its own format.
The platform
My client runs a multi-tenant integration platform that connects merchants to different warehouses. I didn't build the core platform. It is serverless and designed to scale with order volume.
My part
I have written four new integrations, each transforming Shopify orders into the format a different 3PL back office expects, and I share responsibility for maintaining the platform.
Why it matters
Orders go straight to the warehouse without anyone re-keying them, whichever provider the merchant uses. Over the years, tens of thousands of orders have been fulfilled through these integrations.
